On our second day in Busan, we wanted to explore the surrounding area near our hotel in the Jung-gu district. During our walk we found a super market and we went in to check their stuff out. From there we continued our walk...
(Early walk in the morning...)
(The supermarket we had checked out)
After a few moments walking around we found a street which has famous stairs. This spot is called 40 stairs/steps and is a monument of an historical event. It is an important because in the past during the Korean War refugees used this stairs all the time, embodieing the joys and sorrows of the people...
The 40 stairs/steps has also been featured in some Korean shows like Running Man (in Episode 111). The members of Running Man has to throw their shoe up and make it land on the indicated stairs to complete their mission...
(Kurisu is trying to get his shoe in the air onto the stair that is used in Running Man)
(Lilia taking a small break...)
Next we continued our walk and ended up at Yongdusan Park, and we start walking trough the park from the hill down upwards. It was a really hot and sunny day, so it was good we headed into the park that was covered with trees.
We went up the hill by following a path that leads us up onto the hill where Busan Tower is located. It was a few minutes walk in a peacefull park in the shadows, staying out of sight of the very hot and warm sun high in the sky...
Finally we've gotten at the top of the hill as we can see Busan Tower from below. It's a beautiful sight and it made us so excited that we went to it with top speed. ZOOOOOM!
At the base of Busan Tower we were amazed by the beautifull view we saw of Busam... The sky so very blue with a sight that reaches far far way that we can see the ocean and mountains clearly...
And because the view was so amazing, it was Picture time!!! (Click* Click* Click*)
There also was a convient store there selling all kinds of snacks and drinks for the tourists that are visiting the tower...
(Banana Milk, presented by Kurisu... Hmmmmm)
The fences and railguards around Busan Tower are covered with locks and chains of couples that wants to express and sealing their eternal love for eachother... It was so romantic to see this.... <3
(Lilia with the love locks and the view of busan and it's mountains)
Then it was up to the observation deck of Busan Tower to see all of Busan from high above...
It was really amazing when we entered the Observation deck because the view was so amazing. We could see the harbor of Busan, the Ocean and the surrounding buildings and mountains...
We took a lot of pictures of Busan from this height, but we only posted some of them on our blog.
(Lilia on the observation deck and Busan and it's mountains in the background)
Then we went back, towards the base of Busan Tower and Yongdusan Park. There we've explored the surroundings some more.
Then we deceided to go back to the Lotte department. On top of Yongdusan park we took the escalator downstairs to the shopping district...
(Lilia midway the escalator line...)
When we got downstairs we ended up in the middel of some shopping district. It was very nice because it was sunny and there was lotsa fun music coming from the stores to listen to...
Before we went to the Lotte Department we walked down this street checking it out. There we saw many colorfull stores what even makes the street very colorfull...
While walking there were tables with magazines that are free to take with you... This is to promote the stores in this long street. Lilia took one of those magazines hehehe...
(Zombie Homer meets Zombie Kurisu)
Half way of this street we deceided to go to the Lotte Department store, and got off the street and entered another street. This lead us to the Busan International Film Festival Square...
(Lilia walking trough BIFF Square...)
Just around the corner we have found another Daiso store. As usual we check a new Daiso store we found...
Then it was up to the Lotte Department going underground out of the burning sun. We used the underground shopping area of the subway to get to the Lotte department store and to get out of the sun. Then we arrived at the Lotte Department store were we went yesterday.
It was time to get some lunch and go munch, munch and munch!
There we headed for Pizza Hut and tried out the local pizza called the Grilled Bulgogi Pizza with Cheese Crust. It was really good and it fills your tummy all the way up giving you an after lunch dip. XD
After our lunch it was off to some other malls to check out.
We went to a Hyundai department store...
Then we went to a Lotte Department store that was located in Myeongnyun. This was also a very big store and was easy to reach from the subway station.
(Lilia at the subway station of Myeongnyun)
To get to the Lotte Department store, we had to cross over the street by using a bridge that runs over it and connects the station with the Lotte department store...
When we got there, we checked out the floors full of stores and a super market. There we found a very big Toy's R us on the 2nd floor. There we spended some time checking out some toys and boardgames...
(Kurisu: It's a shame we found this store... ;-P hehehe)
After visting the Lotte Department store, we headed back to our district of Jung-Gu and had some dinner at our Lotte Department store. Then it was some Cutlet time again for us... (^__^)
This rounds up our 2nd day in Busan. See you next Blog!!! (^_^)V
