Mission Day Six: Hongdae & Times Square Mall

On our sixth day in Seoul we went on to the district of Hongdae at Hongik University station.

In Hongdae we went to one of the biggest Daiso stores in Seoul. It has 3 floors of fun stuff to shop for. We went there to explore on all the floors of funzies of stuff...

After shopping at Daiso we went on walking in Hongdae, and our tummies are started to rumble. We looked around for a place to eat...

And suddenly we remembered that we had eaten at this Hello Kitty Cafe, and we decided we to go there again. It hasn't changed at all after a year... But it was still fun to check it out, drink and eating there...

We ordered a Green Tea Latte, Ice Choco and a Croquet Monsieur for our Lunch Snack. Next we got a caller device to give us a ring when our order is ready to pick up at the counter...

After a few moments we got a call to pick up our food and drinks. Our drinks were decorated with a print of Hello Kitty in powder form on top of our cream...

After our Lunchbreak, it was back on to the streets of Hongdae. There we walked around and ended up in a Store who sold crafts and stationary stuff. In the back it shows it has also stuff in the basement section. This part of the store was ANILand, the same we saw in Ilsan. There we found many Ghibli Studio stuff, Anime and Movie stuff and more hobby stuff...

After exploring the fun fun store, we went back to the street. We wanted to go to this Free Market in Hongdae, which is being held every saturday. After a short walk we found the Free Market. It was really crowded, but fun to hang around there. There they sold lotsa different stuff like hand made jewlry, arts, food en clothes...

We walked around, checking the stands at the Free Market for some time... Then we went back to the subway station to go to Times Square Mall. To get there we had to take the Green line (No.2) and then we transferred to the Dark Blue line (No.1)...

From the subway station it was about 5-10 minutes walk to the Times Square Mall. When we arrived at the mall, there was a big event because the main entrance hall was so full of exciting people...

It was a broadcasting event for the tv show that's called "WIN Who is next". It's a show that competes groups of new boybands with each other te become the new popular boyband group...

As the event goes on, we went to shop at Times Square Mall. Our  first stop was the Kyobo Bookstore. The layout of this Kyobo store was very pleasant because you can easily find the stuff that you want directly. It was pretty quite there because most of the people (females) are at the event downstairs...

After a long time hanging out at Kyobo, we went back to the shopping gallery of Times Square Mall. There we went walking around looking for another Artbox...

We walked around on the upper floors of the building, but we didn't found our store. But finally we found the map of stores of the mall. There we found out that Art box was located on the underground level of the mall. And that was our next destination...

(We found PSY on a Horse...)

There we found Artbox, and after that we went to look for E-Mart which was on the same floor. This E-mart was pretty big and impressive. There we've checked out the Toy & Games section, and we also saw the Running Man Boardgame. It appears that E-Mart is the only store who sells the board game.

Next to the board games they sold many Transformers, Gundams and Marvel toys. They even had an Iron Man set up between the toys which was very impressive... Then it was back to our hotel, so we took the Dark Blue line and transferred at City Hall to the Green line...

Finally we arrived at our destination with the Need to Feed our tummies. We went to the Lotte Department store Fitin near our hotel, and headed for the 8th floor. There we found an Korean Restaurant and ordered Bulgogi for Dinner...

The Bulgogi was awesome and very delicious. So we really filled up your stomache wit food, and went to the store to get some breakfast and snacks for tomorrow. It's because we have a big day tomorrow, and it's the day that we are heading for Busan.... So for now, Goodnight and see you with our next blog post...
