Mission Day One: Heading off to Seoul, South Korea

Kurisu: "Finally our mission starts at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. We went by car and were dropped off by the parents of Lilia. We had to be there around 16:00 hours to check in...  The funny thing is when our plane leaves, Lilia's sister is then coming home from her mission vacation trip..."

After checking in we wen’t on walking around schiphol to kill some time and eat some food to fill up our tummies. After a snack time we headed to the gate (G5) where our plane was waiting for us... There we waited a few minutes and could board the plane...

There we boarded the Korean Air Flight KE926 around 19:00 hours heading off to South Korea’s airport Incheon. The flight was around 10,5 hours of flying. The Flight was very comfortably with good service, good food and a lotsa movies like Man of Steel, Heat, The Lone Ranger, Now You See me and more... eventually we didn’t experienced that stuff because we slept almost all the way during the flight...

(Lilia... Welcome back to Korea!!!)

 When we arrived at Incheon airport, it was like we had a deja~vu moment.The place we got off the plane... the long hallway we walk to customs... and the baggage claim area... It was mostly all the same as last yours mission. We got out pretty quickly from the airport because it wasn’t that crowded, but the weather was pretty nice and warm. Better then we’ve expected... (^_^)V

 Then it was off to the bus stop trough the arrival hall of Incheon Airport. In the hall we saw many big television screens showing baseball matches on them. It’s for the people who are waiting to pick up their family members or friends up from the airport...

 After we got a little bit distracted by this, we went back walking to the bus stop. The bus we took went on a route so it passes all the hotels enroute in Seoul. During the bus ride we had an amazing view of South Korea and the great weather...

 In the bus a news broadcast was on the television about the typhoons that are currently in Asia. They talked about how it effected the countries in Asia, but how it also going to effect South Korea... it seems that this week one of the two Typhoons will be headed our way... Let's hope that the effects will be minimal when it hits the coast of Korea...

 After about an hour drive by bus, we finally arrived at our hotel, CO-OP Residence in the Dongdeamun district.This is the same hotel we stayed at last year, and the employees even remember us from back then. We’ve almost gotten the same room as last year...

This time our room is on the same floor, but just before the corner of our room from last year. The building has been renovated this year, and the hall entrance was given a more classy look. The rooms were more renovated by adding a new wallpaper on the walls... But it still looks nice (^_^)d

 After we freshened ourselfs up, we headed out for the subway. It has been a while that we’ve went by subway in Seoul, so we had to figure things out again. In no time we found the way we needed to go. While walking we saw that Lotte has opened a new store in Dongdeamun called Lotte Fitin.

After checking out the Promo's of Lotte FITIN, we headed to the subway. There we recharged our Seoul pass so we can travel by subway to our destination of Gwangwhamun. We went there to go to the Kyobo Bookstore the check out some books and also to have dinner at it's foodcourt...

 In front of the foodcourt... Hmm what should we eat... The food is just so good here. Let's check out the menu and make up our minds because we are very hungry!!!

After filling up our tummies with very good food, it was time to check out the books in the Kyobo bookstore. This Kyobo bookstore has been used for one of the missions in the variety show called "Running Man" (See "Running Man Episode 46 @ Kyobo bookstore") After walking around Lilia found a book she wanted that was used in a Korean Drama Series she has watched... Lucky!

Kyobo Bookstore also shared the building with some other stores like Artbox and Hot Tracks. When we were here today, there was an event at Hot Tracks.... Hot Tracks is a video and record store, and the had a promotion for the re-released album of the korean boyband called "EXO". This is the album that was on sale, and it has a lotsa goods the girls go all crazy over...

And yes, girls do really go crazy over this. We both saw and experienced the crowd of young school girls camping in front of the store to get a copy of the album with all the goodies that came with it... It was really hard to look for items at the register because these fangirls were blocking it up all the way XD... We then left the place cuz of the crowded girls, and headed of to Gwangwhamun Square to check out a store called Cuvid.

Cuvid is a store that sells mascots of South Korea and other famous animation characters like Pororo and his Friends. They also had Larva's displayed to go and get your picture with them... XD

After checking this store out with has lotsa cute and fun stuff, we went back to our hotel because we are exhausted of our long trip to this wonderfull city. Off to the CO-OP Residence hotel!!! Whoosssh by subway... XD

Right before we went back to our hotel, we got some food and drinks for our mission tomorrow. So we stored some drinks like Banana milk, Ice Coffee, Sprinkeling Lemonade and some Pororo drinks (Blue). We also got some sandwitches and yogurt for breakfast, so we can go on our next adventure all charged up!!! b(^_^)d 

Now it's time for us to power down, finishing up this blog but with the Show "Infinity Challenge" up on TV as background entertainment. A good way to end a very long but exciting day of our 2nd mission in South Korea...

Everybody, we had a very good and exciting day today here in Seoul. We are very sleepy now, so it's time for us to log off and charge up for our second day of our second mission in South Korea!!! Goodnight everybody and blog you soon!!!!
